Niamh Cullen is a young woman from Kildare, now living in Sligo. For Niamh, this vote is personal – she would like to the choice to be able to have a protected family if, one day, she has children with her partner. She also sees the vote as having a much wider significance – in signalling to so many people that they are not limited in the choices they can make about family and partnership.

“Voting yes for equal marriage will show that we are equal as couples, as parents – quite simple as people. My girlfriend and I are just as capable of becoming loving parents as any other citizen.”
