Margaret Mc Auliffe, from Malahide, Co Dublin, remembers being the victim of a particular kind of bullying. She didn’t understand bullying as a child, and she doesn’t understand discrimination as an adult. She recognises that if you’re gay…the prejudice against you is legally binding and wants to take action to change this.

“We all have things that set us apart from the crowd. If you’re gay however [being ridiculed] isn’t just in the playground. You grow up with it. The prejudice against you is legally binding. This needs to change. It’s that simple.”
