Fiona is 25 and lives in London. She will be travelling home to vote for marriage equality in May. It’s a very personal issue for Fiona and her family but it’s also an issue that affects Irish society as a whole. She doesn’t believe “same but different” legislation is good enough for our LGBT brothers, sisters, children or friends. Equality means just that – equal treatment for all of society.

“Ireland has come a long way in a very short space of time and it’s very hard to imagine what Ireland was like a hundred years ago. But we are an amazing country, and we are changing for the better. That’s why I’m coming home to vote yes. Because I love Ireland.”
