Emma Sides is a Humanist celebrant and married mother of two. She has conducted lots of wedding ceremonies for gay and lesbian couples and dearly wishes those ceremonies could be fully recognised in the eyes of society and the law. In her opinion, those couples deserve no less.

‘As a mother of two small children I’m voting yes. Because if one or both of them turn out to be gay, then I want them to be treated equally. I would like all children to feel that their families, no matter how those families are constituted, are also treated equally.’
