Ailbhe Smyth is a feminist, socialist, LGBT activist and former UCD academic. In her #VoteWithUs video she speaks about her personal view on the benefits of equality for all of us. She hopes to wake up on May 23rd to an Ireland that has taken the that historic step closer to full equality for all citizens.

“It matters for all of us in Ireland that we are voting for the principle, the practice and the reality of equality in Ireland today. We’re saying we want this to be a really, truly equal country. I want to wake up on the 23rd of May and know that I, and all LGBT people in this country, that we really have that equality.”
