Sorcha Szczerbiak is originally from the United States, but she moved to Dundalk, Ireland in 2013 to volunteer with her church. Sorcha is a straight ally who believes marriage equality will make Ireland a better, more just place for all its residents. It will send a strong message around the world that Ireland recognises its LGBT citizens, not as people who are “less than,” but valuable, equal, and respected members of society.
